JJC Design is a small dynamic design firm committed to the best practice in quality design, ecologically sustainable design, and a value for money service.
The practice has experience in a wide range of projects, from new individually designed houses, to large commercial projects, areas such as education, health and aged care, hotels, industrial warehouses and retail complexes.
One main focus of the practice is multi-residential development, and it is this category of design that we have received awards from the Building Designers Association of Victoria, and the Master Builders Association of Victoria.
We also offer vast experience in the design of bushfire resistant homes and have designed many BAL-FZ rated homes, as well as numerous homes with high levels of bushfire attack.
We pride ourselves on our commitment to Continued Professional development, so that we provide our clients with the latest up to date information on all facets of building. Sustainable House Design is an area we pride ourselves on, and are one of the rare few building design firms that offer in house Energy Ratings (Thermal Performance Assessments) . This (coupled with our PassiveHaus knowledge) ensures every home the we design can be assured that will be as energy efficient as possible.
The operation of JJC Design started over 25 years ago, and has been integral in the continual growth of the Latrobe region. Our business has developed over the years and now designs major projects and bespoke housing. James is the Founder of JJC Design and has extensive experience in documentation, construction detailing and Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD). His previous projects span over 30 years and include a wide range of building types, construction techniques and scales of development. James is also a Certified Passive House Designer, meaning he has undertaken stringent training to design super efficient buildings, from the Passivhaus Institute in Darmstadt Germany.
